Water tax 'not way to water quality' - Irrigation NZ boss

From Morning Report, 8:54 am on 20 October 2017

We knew going into this election that Labour and New Zealand First didn't see eye to eye on every issue. One major area in which they differed was the prospect of a commercial water tax - Labour said this was a crucial step in achieving clean fresh water, while New Zealand First said they would not support such a charge. Incoming Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern wouldn't confirm whether the water tax will be cut, but did tell us this morning that she remains committed to cleaning up New Zealand's rivers. Irrigation NZ's chief executive Andrew Curtis joins us with his response.
