Public hospitals brace for mass strike next week

From Morning Report, 7:29 am on 25 September 2019

Public hospitals are bracing for what they say will be a coordinated campaign of strike action affecting around 12,000 patients a day from next week. It follows a lack of progress in talks involving workers who provide vital x-rays and ultrasounds, as well as lab tests and psychological services. District health boards say it's unnecessary and self-serving from a union group that's not interested in talk but wants a fight.
