Researchers: govt can get on top wilding pine problem

Researchers say the government has a golden opportunity to nip the country's wilding pine problem in the bud, before it costs the economy billions more. The Ministry for Primary Industries says it's making huge inroads controlling and eradicating the trees, by investing an extra $10.5 million a year. But others at the frontline say they've only been able to achieve stop-gap measures and they need long-term funding guarantees. Katie Todd reports.
