A vaccinologist says New Zealand is woefully unprepared to roll out a nation-wide Covid-19 vaccine.
Dr Helen Petousis Harris from the University of Auckland says several key improvements - including our electronic register - need to be made if the country wants to roll out a vaccine that could come as soon as mid next year.
She told RNZ reporter Charlotte Cook the Government is cutting it fine to have a effective distribution and administration system ready to vaccinate the masses.
