A former student at Dilworth school in Auckland has spoken of his grief and anger at the abuse that went on there and says it was the seven, eight and nine year olds who suffered the most.
Seven men with links to the boys' boarding school over four decades have been arrested on charges of indecent assault, sexual violation and supplying prohibited drugs.
This man was at the school in the 1970's and told our reporter Charlotte Cook he cannot believe it's taken so long for the authorities to investigate.
The school has told RNZ it will not be commenting on the stories from former students.
It says it has reported past abuse to the Police and that has resulted in some convictions.
It will not say how many.
