Ontario restrictions rescinded after police refuse to enforce

Canada's most populous province of Ontario has been put into lockdown and then taken out of it rapidly due to a disagreement over enforcing the new rules.

Authorities last week announced sweeping police powers to enforce an extended stay-at-home order but those powers were rescinded after police refused to employ them.

The government's science advisors are also furious that their advice is being ignored.
