Afghanistan's government has collapsed and Taliban fighters are on the brink of taking over the city.
President Ashraf Ghani has fled the country, There are reports of shooting in several parts of Kabul and helicopters are removing US diplomats from their embassy, and smoke has been seen from the compound as staff burn documents.
NATO says commercial flights from Kabul have been suspended and only military flights are being allowed to evacuate people.
