Ten thousand residents are facing hour long delays because slips are blocking the only road out of their Hutt Valley suburb.
Hutt City Council has warned Stokes Valley's only exit lane will be partially blocked for months. It comes after a series of slips around the suburb which red-stickered two homes.
At a community hui last night residents told council staff they want more solutions.
