The RNZ - TVNZ merger has been scrapped.
The government had pledged $327 million over three years to merge the two public media entities, and it's understood more than $16 million had already been spent.
The National Party had said it would roll back a merger if elected.
The party's broadcasting spokesperson Melissa Lee spoke to Guyon Espiner.
