French candidiates battle scandals

The French Presidential campaign has entered its final week with both hopefuls battling the taint of scandal. Over the weekend, incumbent right-winger Nicolas Sarkozy's hopes of re-election were damaged by allegations that Muammar Gaddafi had donated to the campaign that brought him to power.
