Stan Walker has always been very open with his fans - wearing his heart on his sleeve and sharing so much, including his recovery from stomach cancer.
He has been on an incredible journey of identity with the release of I AM the song he wrote for Oscar-nominated filmmaker Ava DuVernay for her latest film Origin.
Stan joins Charlotte Ryan to celebrate the release of a new single, 'Māori Ki Te Ao'.

She was New Zealand's first ever pop star - releasing ‘Blue Smoke in 1948.
In 2021 a tribute album to Pixie Williams was recorded called ‘The New Blue’ featuring Whirimako Blue, Anna Coddington, Rachel Fraser, Kirsten Te Rito and Lisa Tomlins, all singing songs of Pixie Williams.

Arguably New Zealand’s biggest band, L.A.B have released a new album L.A.B VI.
After giving us five albums in as many years we had to wait for this one while they toured the world playing sold-out shows.
They’re back in Aotearoa for the Electric Avenue Festival in Christchurch, and Charlotte Ryan catches three of the members, Joel, Stu and Miharo, in the RNZ studio.

2:40 Cross to Splore Festival
Splore Festival is on this weekend at the Tāpapakanga Regional Park.
Playing the festival is UK artist Sampha, hip hop crew Pharcyde, local faves Mellowdowns, Hemi Hemmingway, Yoko Zuma….the list goes on.

Taite Music Prize winning artist Jazmine Mary brings their electric guitar into the RNZ studio to share a song ahead of their show at the Hamilton Gardens next Sunday.
After releasing the album ‘Dog’ last year, Jazmine Mary has been travelling, opening for international acts Kurt Vile, Billy Bragg, Gang Of Youths, as well as touring the country in support of Reb Fountain.
They are back in Aotearoa and about to play a very special show as part of the Hamilton Arts Festival.
The Hamilton Arts Festival runs from 23 Feb - 3 March.
