For fans who have been waiting, Beth Orton brings her other-worldly sound to Aotearoa this month with new album ‘Weather Alive’, that critics describe as her best work to date.

It's a sound that has shapeshifted from early electronic collaborations with The Chemical Brothers and Andrew Weatherall to raw soundscapes, and sharing the stage and mic with Patti Smith, Nick Cave, Sinead O’Connor, Flaming Lips and Beck.

Beth tells Charlotte Ryan about finding inspiration in an old piano at Camden Market, and the change in London’s music culture.

Grace Cummings toured with The Veils last year and has opened for the likes of Weyes Blood, Evan Dano and J Mascis, and brings drama to both her music and the stage.
