A team of human rights experts from the New York based Leitner Centre for International Law and Justice travelled throughout the country last year to assess New Zealand's efforts to deal with domestic violence and found serious problems with our laws, regulations and services.

Kathryn speaks with one of the report's authors, Jorge Contesse, and Ruth Herbert from the Roundtable on Violence Against Women.

American businessman and blind adventurer Mike May was totally blinded at age three from an explosion of calcium carbide. At the age of 46 he regained partial sight after cornea transplants and pioneering stem cell procedure. He runs the Sendero Group which employes many blind people and assists those with disabilities by using technology.
