Art Crimes with Arthur Tompkins: fakes and forgeries

Arthur Tompkins is a District Court Judge, and member of Interpol’s DNA Monitoring Expert Group. He has a special interest in crimes involving artistic masterpieces.

He says that art forgeries have had a tremendously long history.

"As long as there has been art, as long as there have been objects appreciated ... then there have been fakes and forgeries."

He talks to Kim Hill about about false works in the art world.
