Frankie Adams

From Sunday Afternoon, 2:35 pm on 13 August 2023

As a teenager, Frankie Adams was a fixture on our screen for six years on Shortland Street. The Samoan born Aucklander basically grew up on the show, then made the move to Los Angeles in 2015. Before she knew it, she'd landed a role as tough Martian soldier in Amazon's hit sci-fi series The Expanse. These days Frankie has a wide range of film and TV credits to her name - Mortal Engines, One Thousand Ropes, Wentworth, and local series The Panthers. Her biggest venture to date is a new mini series, The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart - based on the international best selling novel by Australian author Holly Ringland, and co-starring the legendary Sigourney Weaver. It was released on Amazon Prime last week. Frankie Adams talked with Susie Ferguson on Nine to Noon. Just a note that this interview was recorded prior to the current SAG-AFTRA strikes. Susie first asked her what attracted her to The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart.
