The EQC Truths blogger says he will return to New Zealand and continue to speak out publically against the Earthquake Commission, saying he stands by his claims of incompetence at the organisation.
Marc Krieger, a former Earthquake Commission employee, who has anonymously leaked internal emails and strongly criticised EQC for several months, revealed his identity this week.
Speaking from Wales, Mr Krieger told Radio New Zealand's Nine to Noon programme on Tuesday he is unclear what is happening with the legal action that EQC is taking against him but will return to New Zealand to face it.
He says he stands by his claims that EQC is hampered by incompetence and that an audit of its earthquake assessments should be carried out.
Mr Krieger says the leaked information was placed on an overseas-based website by someone who was sympathetic to his concerns.
