Dead fish warning at Kapiti

5:35 am on 29 May 2009

People are being warned not to eat dead fish which have been washing up along the Kapiti coastline near Wellington.

Snapper and Rays Bream species have been washing ashore since Wednesday.

Regional medical officer of health, Dr Stephen Palmer says both people and animals should not eat any of the fish.

The Wellington Regional Council believes the cause is unlikely to be the result of pollution.
