An elderly man was taken to Palmerston North Hospital on Thursday morning after being hit by a truck.
The 86-year-old was struck by the light truck in High St, Bulls, at about 8.30am. The local police say it seems he didn't see the vehicle as he stepped onto the road.
His condition is described as serious but stable.
