Two people have been injured in an explosion at the studio where The Hobbit movie is being filmed, the Fire Service says.
The incident occurred at the Stone Street Studios in the Wellington suburb of Miramar on Tuesday.
A publicist for The Hobbit, Ceris Price, says a prop under construction was involved in what she described as a minor explosion in a workshop.
The two injured people were taken to hospital. St John Ambulance said their injuries were minor.
The Fire Service says a small fire had been extinguished by the time crews arrived at the scene.
