The rising Auckland squash player Paul Coll has claimed his maiden PSA World Tour title in Brisbane, also putting paid to a home winner of the Australia Day Challenge, won the PSA Challenger 5 event .
Coll beat Adelaide's Justin Beard in straight sets in the final, 11-5 11-8 11-5 at Northern Suburbs Squash Centre.
Seeded top, the 20-year-old had already dismissed countryman Lance Beddoes in just 26 minutes in the semi-finals to reach the first Tour final, but needed just 31 minutes to ensure his title triumph to become the first New Zealand winner of the title.
