The South African football team has not only reached the African Nations Cup knock-out stages for the first time since 2002, the hosts will now stay in Durban until the final - if they make it that far.
South Africa finished top of Group A after drawing 2-2 with Morocco in Durban and Bafana Bafana, as they're known, play Group B runners-up Mali in in this weekend's quarter-finals, after Mali secured second spot Tuesday morning with their 1-1 draw against the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Ghana outclassed Niger 3-0 to qualify top of Group B and they face the tournament's surprise packages Cape Verde, who beat Angola 2-1.
South Africa's draw avoids the ignominy of the side becoming the first hosts in 10 editions of the tournament to miss out on the knockout stages.
The final is in Johannesburg next weekend.
