The English allrounder Andrew Flintoff has been declared fit for the first test between England and the West Indies in Jamaica, which starts overnight New Zealand time.
The 31-year-old, who missed the final warm-up match with a side strain, has come through a final practice session with little discomfort.
The England captain Andrew Strauss says Flintoff is so important to them us because he allows them the luxury of playing a five-man bowling attack.
