Win or lose - Rosebowl is ideal buildup to Cricket world cup say White Ferns

Ironically the New Zealand men's and women's cricket teams find themselves in the same situation - both having lost the chance in recent days to wrap up a five match series against Australia.

Both the Black Caps and White Ferns went two nil up against Australia in their respective five match series only to see Australia win games three and four to level things at two all.

On Friday the Black Caps play Australia in Brisbane to decide the Chappell Hadlee competition but first up are the White Ferns with the Rosebowl decider tomorrow at the Basin Reserve.

Win or lose tomorrow however White Ferns coach Garry Stead says the Rosebowl series has been an ideal buildup to next month's world cup in Australia.
