Indian look to tire out New Zealand bowlers

9:17 am on 30 March 2009

The Indian cricketers are already thinking about the third test starting in Wellington on Friday even though there is still a day to play in the second test.

Star batsman Rahul Dravid says India will look to bat all day today simply to tire out the New Zealand bowling attack before the Basin Reserve test.

He says the aim is to have the New Zealand attack bowling more than 270 overs and then having to turn around and start the third test three days later.

New Zealand has already bowled 200 overs in the last two days.

Play gets under way at 11 in Napier with India resuming at 252 for two still needing another 62 runs to make New Zealand bat again.
