The former Manchester United captain Roy Keane may soon be back in English football.

The 37-year-old has been out of work since December when he resigned as Sunderland manager having been in charge of the club for 27 months.

The BBC is reporting that Keane is Ipswich Town's leading candidate to replace sacked manager Jim Magilton.

Ipswich are in the Championship, or second division.
