The New Zealand Breakers say they're in the ANBL for the long-haul and are delighted to have their future secured in the new Australian Basketball League.
Basketball Australia has announced that 7 teams, including the Breakers, will be involved in a new revamped competition starting in October.... however there won't be any teams from Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane.
The Breakers will be involved in meetings in Australia over the next 2 days to decide the future and structure of the league.
The Breakers already we have 7 players signed for next season and beyond and say they're ready to build on our recent success on and off the court.
The NZ Breakers say they're a commercially sound organization and are committed to developing a strong competition next season and ready to play a leading role in the long term vision Basketball Australia has for the league.
