Gallop to meet with Sharks

7:39 am on 24 May 2009

The National Rugby League boss David Gallop has met with the Cronulla Sharks to try and sort out their on-going issues.

The Sharks lost their major sponsor last week following the latest scandal to hit the club.

They've had issues this year with failed drugs tests, players involved in group sex, assualt and binge-drinking.

There have also been reports of players being offered sex toys, while the Sharks chief executive reportedly accidentally hit an employee in the eye.

The debt-ridden Sharks are languishing at the bottom of the NRL ladder, having lost eight straight games.
