The young Frenchman Gael Monfils has withdrawn from next week's Wimbledon tennis championship because of a wrist injury.
The 22 year old, who made the semi-finals at the French Open, had been the 14th seed for the year's third grand slam tournament, which he also missed last year with a shoulder injury.
