All Blacks Dan Carter and Richie McCaw return to the Canterbury starting line-up for their Air New Zealand Cup match against Hawke's Bay in Napier on Thursday night.
Both players came off the bench as they defended the Ranfurly Shield against Manawatu last weekend.
Flanker Kieran Read is unavailable after getting a knock to the head last weekend, so McCaw will play at number eight.
Another All Black returning for Canterbury is lock Isaac Ross, who will be playing his first match of the season for the Red and Blacks.
