It was a much tighter affair than the 33-point blow-out to the Tall Blacks in the opening game in Wellington, as the Koreans appeared over any jet-lag and played with a lot more pace and accuracy.

The veteran guard Kirk Penney almost sent the Test into overtime with a last-second long-range basket, but the referees ruled it was a two-point, rather than a three-point, shot, and the visitors levelled the series.

The Breakers centre Alex Pledger limped off with a toe injury before half-time, when the hosts led 40-38.

The series now heads to the deciding third game in Auckland on Saturday.
