Soderling beats Nadal again

Sweden's Robin Soderling has returned to haunt Rafael Nadal at the ATP World Tour tennis finals,. beating him 6-4 6-4 in their opening Group B round-robin match in London.

Soderling's in the season-ending eight man tournament only because the American Andy Roddick withdrew.

He ended Nadal's 31-match winning streak at the French Open this year and again proved a tough opponent for the Spaniard whose hopes of knocking Roger Federer off the top of the world rankings are fading.

Nadal hasn't claimed a title since the claycourt Rome Masters in May and struggled to handle Soderling's powerful forehand on the faster indoor surface, looking vulnerable on serve throughout.
