Hussey latest to fall short of century

Australia's batsmen were in control over the Pakistan cricket side in the first test at the MCG, but not in their ability to go on with it, as Mike Hussey became the latest to fall short of a century.

Hussey posted Australia's 19th half-century this summer, yet became the latest who could not turn his score into a century, as he fell for 82 just before lunch on day two.

Despite his dismissal, lbw to offspinner Saeed Ajmal, Australia were formidably placed at 394-4, with nightwatchman Nathan Hauritz unbeaten on 42 and Michael Clarke four not out.
