The golf superstar Tiger Woods had a fat lip but no other visible facial injuries when Florida Highway Patrol officers met him four days after his mysterious car crash outside his home, a local television station has reported.
Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Kim Montes says that Woods and his lawyer met officers on December 1st - after Woods had three times turned authorities away from his home as they attempted to get his version of events.
Woods had been briefly hospitalised after the accident, in which his car crashed into a fire hydrandt and a tree.
The mysterious incident touched off a sensational sex scandal, with Woods eventually admitting to marital infidelity.
Montes says officers had no reason to believe he was a victim of domestic violence.
Woods hasn't been seen in public since the incident and announced via his website earlier this month that he was taking an indefinite leave of absence from the PGA Tour to focus on rebuilding his marriage.
