NZ women soaked up Games village before preparing for opener

The New Zealand women's footballers are the country's first Olympians in action tomorrow night at Qinhaungdao chin-wang-dow although the main events don't begin until the weekend in Beijing.

Before leaving for the Group G opener with Japan, the Football Ferns spent three days soaking up the atmosphere at the Olympic Village in the Chinese capital.

Captain Hayley Moorwood says it was an eye opener, including meeting the former Olympic gold medallist Sarah Ulmer....
