Ireland still fancy chances against All Blacks despite poor form

Their form is far from convincing but Ireland's convinced it can make history beat the All Blacks for the first time this weekend.

A draw in 1973 is Ireland's best result in the 23 tests between the two sides.

But flanker Stephen Ferris remains upbeat saying the side believes they can win, despite only scraping past Samoa last weekend.

Ireland have faced plenty of criticism in response to a slump in form with their play lacking conviction and their tight five struggling to compete.

Prop Cian Healey says the penalty problems the All Blacks had at scrum time against England has also given them heart.
