Central Districts have won the National Under-23 cricket tournament after beating Wellington by 57 runs in the final round of Twenty20 at Lincoln.
Central finished with 14 points across three formats to edge Northern Districts, who picked up four points with a thrilling one-run win over Auckland to leap into second place, while Auckland remained winless.
In the third match, Canterbury edged out Otago by 15 runs but the losers still finished third above Wellington with Canterbury fifth and Auckland dead last.
