Raiders win second in a row

It's a far cry from their remarkable run to last year's NRL finals but things are definitely looking up for Canberra after they toppled their second heavyweight opponent in as many weeks with a 20-12 win over Canterbury.

Fresh from last weekend's stunning upset of Melbourne, the Raiders held off a fast-finishing Bulldogs side who scored twice in the final 15 minutes to set up a thrilling finish, Jarrod Croker finally icing the game two minutes from time with a penalty goal from 30 metres out.

The win wasn't enough to lift the Raiders off the bottom of the ladder, but they are now just four competition points behind eighth-placed Wests Tigers ahead of next week's first bye of the season.
