Shakib's double overshadowed by Pakistan's superiority

6:34 am on 21 December 2011

Shakib Al Hasan became the first Bangladeshi cricketer to hit a century and take five wickets in a test innings, but his efforts look like being in a losing cause after Pakistan seized control of the second test in Dhaka.

Shakib followed his first-innings 144 with six wickets for 82 as the hosts bowled out Pakistan for 470 on the fourth day.

And Bangladesh then limped to 114 for five in their second innings, still trailing by 18 runs overall.

Pakistan won the first test.
