Olympic great Ian Thorpe's comeback has stalled again after he missed out on the final of the 100 metres freestyle at the Victorian state swimming championships.
In his first competitive swim in Australia since 2006, Thorpe finished seventh in his heat and failed to qualify for tonight's 10-man final in Melbourne.
Thorpe's comeback in his bid to swim at the London Olympics continues tomorrow when he swims the 200 metre freestyle, which is considered his best chance of getting to the Games.
