Hamilton has put in a late bid to be one of the host cities for the Fifa under-20 World Cup in 2015.
New Zealand Football's governing committee for the tournament has agreed to accept the bid and Hamilton will now the bid evaluation phase which is due to be carried out by the end of this month.
