Construction groups are meeting on Thursday to develop a new approach to improving their industry's safety record.
Government figures show there were 31 workplace deaths between July and November, almost double that of the same period in previous years.

In the meantime, five groups from the construction sector, including the Master Builders Federation and Contractors Federation, are to devise a new safety passport for workers to gain.
Site Safe, an industry safety body says it is hoped a health and safety committee will also be put in place to coordinate new industry-wide rules.
