1:15 Farmers from Aotearoa sharing their skills in Mongolia

It's a trip they're unlikely to forget anytime soon.

Taranaki farmers, Rebecca and Lloyd Alexander, were part of a dozen-strong team who spent three weeks touring across the Gobi Desert in Mongolia.

The mission? To shear the love - teaching communities sheep shearing and wool handling skills.

Rebecca joins Jesse to tell him more about their adventures.

1:25 Making Waiheke Island stoat free

The hunt is well and truly on for the last couple of stoats on Waiheke Island.

In almost no time at all, Te Korowai O Waiheke, a Predator Free 2050 initiative, has eliminated close to 100 percent of the pest species, meaning Waiheke is very close to becoming the largest island in the world to have eradicated stoats.

And the days are numbered for those that remain.

1:35 Canterbury cat cafe turns five

Located in the heart of Christchurch, Catnap is the South Island's only cat cafe.

What's a cat cafe you ask? Well, it's pretty much exactly what it sounds like - a cafe with cats.

Alyssa O'Connor and Nate Ball opened Catnap five years ago, and as well as marking their birthday this week, they're also celebrating reaching a milestone of 150 adoptions.
