Sad arse dinners for one

From Afternoons, 3:08 pm on 22 September 2017

Food blogger Sarah Tuck's new cookbook is all about the meals she cooked when her life turned to crap. Her youngest child left home and her husband left her.

She shares her story and the feel good recipes she cooked as she picked herself up and got her mojo back in her book -  Coming Unstuck.

"I was on my own for the first time in my life basically, it was a very difficult time, a was used to being the centre of the family and I loved all of that I felt all of a sudden like I had zero purpose.

"For the first three months I was a total write-off, once I managed to get my act together I wanted to do something that would give me a purpose, I hated having no reason for being."

She share's one of the recipes from her Sad Arse Dinners for One section, Salmon & Rice Salad.

"All of the sad arse dinners are super, super easy because at the end of the day when you’re tired and you’re cooking by yourself you don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen."
