On this weeks Tuesday music feature RNZ's Brad Warrington, aka Dj Sticky Fingaz brings in a selection of his favourite Trip hop tracks.
Trip hop is a musical genre that originated in the UK in the early 90s, especially Bristol. Common musical aesthetics include a bass-heavy drumbeat, female-dominant vocals, Rhodes pianos, saxophones, trumpets and flutes as well as unconventional instruments such as the theremin and mellotron.
Expect the heavy sub bass and broken beats of Massive Attack, Portishead and Kurder & Dorfmeister.
