The 2012 Maya Calendar

On December 21st, 2012 an ancient Mayan calendar ends and according to some doomsday sayers and Hollywood, that date may trigger a worldwide cataclysm and bring an end to the world as we know it. Dr Robert Sitler is the director of Latin American Studies at Stetson University in Florida and has studied the Maya for more than 30 years. He says the 2012 phenomenom is virtually unknown among contemporary Mayans.
