Survivors fear FENZ assault investigation won't be independent

Victims are worried a new body that will investigate allegations of sexual assault and bullying at Fire and Emergency New Zealand won't be independent.

Current and former firefighters say it needs to be entirely separate from an organisation that has ignored multiple serious complaints in the past.

Their calls follows last year's report which found bullying and harassment were endemic across all levels of the organisation.
