DOC is appealing for clues about who caused the brutal death of an endangered kaka- the latest in a series of attacks on native wildlife.
A young male was found emaciated on a property in Whangateau on Auckland's northeast coast last month.
It was in such bad condition it had to be put down. But as DOC officer Tapua Hori explains, a post-mortem revealed something more sinister.
