The country's Covid-19 restrictions have been significantly loosened with most vaccine mandates and passes scrapped.
The government's also ditched capacity limits for outdoor gatherings and the requirement to scan in using the Covid-19 tracer app.
There were just over 20,000 new cases today but Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern says it's safe to make the changes because Auckland is past the peak and the rest of the country is not far behind.
