Travel alternatives sought as fuel expected to hit $4 a litre

More and more families are looking for alternatives to getting behind the wheel, as petrol prices continue to creep back up.

The AA is predicting it could even reach $4 a litre. Last week the European Union announced further sanctions on Russia, putting increased pressure on oil supply.

The government's 25 cent fuel tax cut which was introduced to address livings costs is also due to expire in just over a month.
