Aotearoa composer Karl Steven is well known for his soundtrack work across a multitude of projects like The Blue Rose, Bellbird, and more recently Come to Daddy, which earned him APRA Best Original Music in a Feature Film Award.
He's taken on his biggest challenge yet: writing the score for Black Hands, a dramatized TV series focusing on the Bain family murders.
Steven hangs out with Charlotte Ryan and explains how he made sure the soundtrack was as respectful to the Bain family as possible.
